While in the Serengeti , we were privy to a rare 3-day take over of a pride of lions by two young lions. The out-going lion old lion, seen in this photo, fought the good fight but was outnumbered by two young healthy lions. This goodbye between the outgoing lion and the head lioness was touching right before he walked away. She had also fought the good fight and lost to the inevitable.
