Rumba Alley
Rumba Alley
from $50.00
During a trip to Cuba in 20for their International Jazz Festival, there was much free time to explore Havana. Callejón de Hamel (Hamel’s Alley often called Rumba Alley by tourists) is a fascinating place, taken from the pits of poverty and dirt by the artist, Salvador Gonzales Escalona, and now is a place transformed by color & form, and Sunday afternoon performances and art involve the entire community. These performers were incredible.
