Europeans love their pigeons. In Warsaw, pigeons are memorialized for their work during WWII. In every plaza, park, fountain area in Europe, people are feeding and enjoying the pigeons. Walking through the plaza in front of Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris one day, I met what I am to understand, the famous pigeon man of Notre Dame. The pigeons started gathering on the lawn by the Seine River every day prior to his arrival.  The day I was there a local media person was trying to interview him. His short answers were thrown out over his shoulder as he achieved his main objective, not caring a twit about publicity.
